看這本書的時候我一直懷疑是不是年老記憶力退化了。去年看過女主角Sophie的大哥Wyndham的故事，我記得裏面寫到的Duke of Moreland(即Windham家的父親)特別能揮霍，快把家產給敗光了。怎麽到了這本書裏面，完全是個正面的父親形象？
說回這本書本身，本來是個好故事，Sophie和Vim因為暴風雪，被困在Wyndham家，中間非要夾雜一個嬰兒讓我看得很煩燥，Wyndham家一個女仆因為未婚產子而狠心地把嬰兒拋下獨自離開，Sophie和Vim兩人沒有仆人幫忙要照顧這個小嬰兒，故事就此展開。我很煩的是，我想看羅曼史，不想看嬰兒照顧指南，偏偏作者不厭其煩地寫怎麽給嬰兒換尿布，怎麽給嬰兒餵食物，真是受不了……
