伊洛娜安德魯斯這一本《魔法衝擊》，在魔法傭兵Kate Daniels系列中譯本裡是我最愛的前二名之一。
超殺傭兵兼職約僱騎士凱特小姐和毛茸茸大王可倫之間的情愫，已從第一二集的拌嘴若有似無曖昧，全面白熱化成開誠佈公(?)的追求者與被追求者。
另外，天才兒童德瑞克及隨心所欲變形者賽門在這一集出鏡率也夠高，這兩位是魔法傭兵系列中，我最愛的配角前兩名。(同樣偏好者，請珍惜這兩名角色在本集的戲份，因為後面的系列他們被fade out淡化。每次看到後來出場的他們，總覺得那只是一個同名人物，而非系列前期我愛的那兩人
)
這一本故事尾聲，凱特重傷獲救後，問可倫為何甘冒大險深入禁地搶救她~~

這一句簡直該被寫入《撩妹教科書》永流傳啊啊啊!!!
