That was Rebel Storm's first--and lasting--impression of Luiz Manchete, self-appointed king of the Amazon jungle. Appropriately, the natives called him Curupira, the wild man.

Rebel wanted to do anthropological research in the heart of the jungle--a venture that Luiz savagely opposed.
