特別感謝majowitch童鞋的推薦，能夠讀到一系列值五葉的作品，真是太讓人興奮了。
Scandalous系列book1是Beckford家大哥的故事。五年前，負責任又很在意家族名聲的伯爵Robert替惡棍弟弟Lucas娶了那位被發現赤裸同床的醜聞女主角Lydia ，Robert把這位只有16歲的醜聞妻子塞到某個荒涼的產業後，打算一輩子也不理她。五年後，已經長大的Lydia不想再被孤獨放逐，跑到倫敦參加社交季。 兩人在Beckford家小妹Caroline故意撮合的自家舞會上碰面了，這個場景真的經典…舞會上Robert看到Lydia後，眼睛根本離不開她，不過他並不知道這個深深捉住他目光的美女是他的太太…
兩人的愛火燒得很快，書到一半時已經互相表示愛意…我心想著，羅曼史的發展到這裡就該結束了，還有大半本書作者可以寫什麼呢?!後半部開始的有點沉悶，兩人回到Gosling Park，而同時期發展的的book2兩位主角也都在這裡，很多場景和對話我在book2都看過了，我猜想這應該就是majowitch童鞋所說的有灌水嫌疑的地方…後來發現後段這樣的舖陳是必要的，這樣才能引導出這位醜聞女主角背後原來有一段那麼令人心碎又傷痛的過去。
作者在兩本書中對Beckford兩兄弟的描寫真的很到位，book1中如同模範爵爺的Robert老成負責，家族名聲永遠擺第一，而且心地善良十分愛護Lydia，根本就是100分的好男倫。book2中風流倜儻的惡棍Lucas心想的是Life was to be enjoyed, not endured， 跟哥哥真的對比十足。現實生活中，我想大多數人會選擇沉穩的Robert，然而沉緬在羅曼史一二十年的童鞋和我，都會愛極浪子Lucas。但是如果從book1中所見的Lucas，他還真是個大惡棍!!!!為他之前所做的浪蕩事蹟和情傷之後再次引發的家族大醜聞。還好醜聞在大家同心協力下圓滿解決，也給了Lucas一個教訓。還好先看了他和Juliet的故事，不然還真沒勇氣看book2。
