這本書應該是Penny Jordan的遺作，這麼喜歡的作者以後看不到她的書了怎麼辦
這本書也是很老梗的因誤會而分開，女主角未婚懷孕，多年後重逢的故事。
女主角因父母離異，從小就缺愛，由祖父母撫養長大，因祖父母去世而想要讓祖父母死後能葬在故鄉，遂帶著小孩回到義大利處理祖父母的後事，後被男主角發現女主角生下他的小孩，強迫女主角和她結婚。
男主角是當地的貴族，年輕的時候和女主角有一段情，但是女主角為引起父親的注意，行為打扮有點脫序，讓當地人議論紛紛，所以雙方的戀情不受到祝福，後來女主角懷孕更是讓祖父母蒙羞。
這本書有用倒敘法交錯，我看了兩遍還是覺得不大通順，加上男主角年輕時因誤會而拋棄女主角更是扣分，不大推這本書
。
