其實是先看 Christina Dodd的 Lost in your arm，後來一看AAR 的評鑑，說 Dodd是以Linda Howard 1988出版的這本書作摹本，相似度近九成，但改得很糟糕，那興趣便來了。因為我看Lost in your arm時，覺得滿好看的，若原著更精彩，怎可錯過呢? 相比之下, 嘿嘿… 當然明白Linda Howard 的版本為什麼會給人翻抄.。

White Lies 是現代故事, 男主角是Linda 慣常喜歡的FBI 特務，在一次任務中，變得面目全非而且聲帶受損， 男主角的上司要女主角 Jay 確認是否她的前夫，Jay 顧念男主角危在旦夕，雖然並不打算再和前夫有所牽扯，卻也留下來照顧他。於是二人之間的情感張力，瞬間澎湃伸展，卻還有未得解答的疑惑，要在書末才知道。Dodd 把它改成古代版，故事是不及原著流暢及自然。

買這書時連同其他書一起訂的，看見書很薄，只得250頁，便以為是書單中$3.99的一本，怎知它鐵價$6.99，反而$3.99的那本有369頁，果然名氣大的很不同。
